Today the March of Dimes made the announcement nationally that I am the 2011 National Ambassador. It is so exciting. You can read my press release. I’m the 65th National Ambassador the March of Dimes has ever had. Wow!

Congratulations Lauren and family! We saw you on Fox & Friends and you did great. We are looking forward to following your travels during the year. By the way, the nurse that was Katelyns primary nurse in the NICU in Washington, DC is now working in the NICU at Carolinas Medical Center. What a small world!

Thank you so much Hall Family! Yes, it is indeed a very small world. I am so proud to carry on the torch as National Ambassador and I look forward to a wonderful year. As Josh said, it goes by fast and he is so right – I can’t believe it is already March! As National Ambassadors, we have a very special mission and it is such an honor to serve the March of Dimes in this manner. You are so sweet, and I had the best time with you and your little sister Erin and your whole family in New York. It was fun to be on the Fox & Friends show with you. I was glad when Ms. Gretchen Carlson asked me if I had any advice for you because I wanted to tell you to have fun this year because it goes by so fast! I know you will do such a great job as the 2011 National Ambassador. I am so proud you are my friend – I think it’s so cool how we were both born so early and how the March of Dimes saved both of our lives. We will share that forever.
